Two new stories set in 1880s and 1890s - one a new BBC TV series, the other a comic.

Ripper Street
"Six months after the Ripper's reign, the Whitechapel police fight to bring law to the lawless."

Sherlock Holmes: The Liverpool Demon
“The year is 1888: the Great Detective and the ever dependable Dr. Watson find themselves in the bleak northern port city of Liverpool from whose still bustling docklands grim slave vessels once sailed”

Alan Moore's daughter writes a tale about Sherlock Holmes and the Spring Heeled Jack mystery!

Love the series; wife is hooked on it as well. For those enjoying it check out Copper as well - a BBC America production set in New York (Five Points) in 1860.

Watched the first two episodes last night (praise be to series record Wink). Very enjoyable. Of course, it doesn't hurt that I really like the two main actors (Matthew Macfadyen and Jerome Flynn).
