Does anyone know of a good (preferably free) way of creating floor plan tiles.

I have tried dungeon forge, but it appears fairly limited.

Thanks

Try worldworks I have some of their sets, Well quite a few actually, well more than a few... they are reasonably priced and have dungeon tiles too.

Recently I got some stuff from RPG now.com They are adventure tiles

There are loads of different types so I am sure you will find what you want in amongst what they have.

I hope this helps
Cheers

The first ones I need to do are for the first DToA scenario, ie. a warehouse and the zeppelin gondola

I got the Mayhem warehouse set which is ideakl for a warehouse, the wooden floors would be ideal for the zepplin from the Shellendrak manor set.

There is no free software I'm aware of. But Dundjinni is a good one, though it has limits as well and is a bit old.
It will give you a good amount of tiles to use as floors and walls.

Problem starts if you want to build in furniture. Modern pictures of furniture/items are hard to come by. And even once you have them, it takes a lot of time to place these items into your map.
I tend to do my maps with Dundjinni, but concentrate on generic items (trees, bushes, grass, walls, water, etc.). Doing it that way every map is every usable for any type of game and still looks ok.

Here is an example. This House can be a town house, office, shop ... anything that starts in an era 1900+

I use Campaign Cartographer from Profantasy.

There are several parts depending on what you wish to do that include several prebuilt functions as we as the tools to create from the ground up. It does have an initial learning curve, but once you get the hang of it you can do anything.
