I just noticed a small "hick-up"

In the Hellfrost Gazetteer, Population of the Confederacy is noted as:

~107,300 (62% Anari, 35% Saxa, 5% engro, 3% frostborn)

That is 105% in total... Nit-picking, I know, but what Percentage is in error?

Same with Cul...

14,048 (65% frostborn, 25% Anari, 18% Saxa, 2% engro)

That is 110%...

EDITED since I copy pasted the wrong line...

The two largest percentages need adjusting by 3% and 2% respectively.

I'd drop the top three by 3%, 1%, and 1% to maintain a balance.

Ok, but the difference was 10% so, 6%, 2% and 2% maybe?

Thanks for the overview.

Rough comparison to Europe: roughly same area, but only 0.3% of its population.

Thanks. This of course was just the summary of my big Rassilon "headcount" sheet.

It started out simple... one of my players said to me; "Hey I want to play a Finnar... where would be a possible 'Region of Birth'..." and I go; "Hmmm... let's see..." this was in the beginning of our campaign and I hadn't really read through the full Gazetteer then, and even now with a few mnonths under my belt I'm still a little weak on the details like; "How manny Frostbord actually live in the Borderlands?" and as it turns out it was not an easy question to answer. I have to flip through the entire book, taking notes of every region that listed Finnars at all.... and then suggesting something that made sense.

So I decided to gather it all in one place. To make it easy, at a glance, to give a plausible answer to Questions like: "Where can I find the most Engro's?"

If Wiggy thinks it's ok to share more details about it here I'd be happy to.

Yes. Even looking at medieval Europe during the High Middle Ages population is estimated somewhere between 70 and 100 Million!

But medieval Europe didn't suffer the Liche-Priest, the Blizzard War, a century of plague and famine, and then a climate upheaval. Smile The northern continent was almost obliterated.

True. This is not meant as critique or anything, just comparison of facts between the different worlds.

Looking at Late Middle Ages in Europe we do have The Great Famine, the Bubonic Plague, the Hundred Years' War etc.... so Population decline pretty rapidly. Some areas losing 50%-70% of their Population.

But even so it stays at around 50 Million.

Wiggy: Did you see my implicit question above? Is it okay to share more of this stuff with our Forum users?

EDIT: I'll re-name the Topic to something more appropriate... Smile

Germanys population alone never dropped below 10 million in the Middle Ages, even after the plague and the wars.

You could walk for days in Rassilon before meeting another living soul... a lot of empty space wasted.
