I have seen SWD, and it's a lovely book. Lots of minor tweaks (mainly to clean up old issues), a few new additions, and lots of glorious new art.

Teasing ends.

There's a deluxe version? Typical! I've just bought the 3rd printing of the Explorer's Edition as a backup to my, very worn, 1st printing of the Explorer's Edition.

Looking forward to it, as i missed the detailedness of the old Revised Edition. And it introduces interesting new rules for "social conflict resolution", next to the clarifications. Smile

Well here's the real question, Wiggy. I finally have all three of the "core" Hellfrost books (Player's Guide, Gazetteer, Bestiary) should I get another Hellfrost book or get SWD next?

It's always best to have the latest core rules because we'll be using them in future products. Most of the changes are cosmetic and mainly for clarification, but there are new rules we'll be making use of. PEG has already publicly mentioned the new Chase, Task Resoultion, and Social Interaction rules.

99% of Hellfrost remains unchanged, as it contains all the races, magic, and monsters you need for the setting, and as setting rules these override the core rules. A standard Edge may have changed, in which case the new version will naturally apply to Hellfrost, but the spells (some of which have changed slightly in Deluxe) remain as per the HFPG as far as we're concerned.

Then go and buy two HF books. Smile

And there is no rule that you have to use the new core rules once they are published. You can take as much as you want from the new ones or ignore it completely. It's your call as a GM!

Not sure. I think GenCon, but only PEG knows for sure.

This sounds like a great product. Damn nuisance it's likely to be available at GenCon this year seeing as I'm going to Origins instead Crying or Very sad
