My local gamestore has always a few of these available, but unfortunately not in their online store. But they are uncommon indeed.

Yep, one of the d10s in my "special" set of dice is actually 20-sided.

Side question: Who uses a dice shaker, and how long?

I use a simple leathery one, that is in use for 10+ years already. It shows its scars proudly...

I know someone who uses one for wargaming but nobody I play RPGs with does.

I don't use a dice shaker but I do use a dice tray when GMing. My wife bought me a Chessex dice tray ten years ago and I find it indispensable when running games.

Again, not a shaker, but I do have a dice tower. Drop the dice in at the top and they bounce down the slides and roll out at the bottom Smile

It's made of MDF and clips together without any glue (I picked it up from a seller on eBay who makes them). All I added as some felt from a local craft shop to reduce the noise a bit Wink

I use a dice tower that I built using legos.

http://www.daemonstorm.com/role-playing/accessory/Lego-Dice-Tower

I can dump an entire container of 36 d6es into it and they all come out the bottom without getting stuck inside. Actually helps remove the ability to control the dice roll. (good way to deal with dice cheaters).

I have been role playing since 1974 and I have never knowingly thrown a dice away, My original dice are rounded and flaking, but they are still in my big box. I use a small box for the game of the day with the specific set of dice that I need.
Phew. This feels like an AA meeting.

No dice shaker in my house, but my uncle, a gamer too, had a sort of weird fetish, which he uses to cast a malevolent spell on dices: any dice touched you are sure it will roll snake eyes!!!

Hi...my name is Rob

I'm not sure if talking about dice is actually helping me. The other day I ended up reorganizing all my dice and the bags they are kept in. I'm concerned that this may happen again so I've decided to turn to drink to try and control the urges. Shocked

He must have visited my house at one time. I need to find a game where rolling 1s is the better result. Confused
